On Friday 29th June, eight members of our team laced up their hiking boots and set their sights on climbing Ben Nevis, Scarfell Pike and Snowdon within 24 hours, also known as the National Three Peaks Challenge.
Through the scorching heat, the team stuck together and successfully completed their final mountain descent on Saturday afternoon. The total walking distance for the challenge clocks in at 23 miles with a total ascent of 3,064 metres.
The team were raising money for the NET Patient Foundation in memory of colleague Alison Austin who sadly passed away last year. This charity was selected by Alison’s husband and we’re delighted to announce they exceeded their £3,000 goal.
We’re all immensely proud of the team for taking on such a difficult challenge under such extraordinary climate conditions.
