Peterborough Council has given us the green light to proceed with the next phase of design for a new office scheme at Lynch Wood Park.
The outline planning approval is for up to 80,000 sq ft of office space to a maximum height of four floors, 9,472 sq ft of retail space and the provision for 339 parking spaces.
The office and commercial hub developments are expected to create over 500 new jobs and will also provide a greater choice of convenience food options for Peterborough Business Park employees.
The Grade A office development will occupy a large vacant site which is allocated for office use but currently acts as a car park.
The height, scale, and position of the office building took into account the recent listing status of the Pearl Centre and its proximity to the local community on Wistow Way.
The new buildings will be accessed off Lynch Wood and, as part of the redevelopment, there will be comprehensive highway improvements made to the entrance of Lynch Wood Park.
In addition, we will be making a Section 106 cash contribution of £270,000 to Peterborough Council and a contribution to a new bus stop.
The developer will now be working on detailed plans with a view to submitting a reserved matters planning application in which it will outline the full detail and scope of the development within the agreed outline planning permission parameters.
