Infrastructure improvements underway at Botany Bay Business Park
As work continues on site at Botany Bay Business Park, with phase two of our game-changing employment logistics development gathering pace, we are working closely with Lancashire County Council on infrastructure improvements to ease traffic flow.
The highway works being carried out to the Botany Bay roundabout form part of an S278 legal agreement linked to the Botany Bay Business Park development planning permission. All works are being carried out to an approved Lancashire County Council design, with the council’s inspector visiting the site on a regular basis to review the works.
Nesting bird surveys have also been carried out and some trees have been removed to accommodate the design. We are working in collaboration with Lancashire County Council to review a replanting mitigation for trees lost to replace the ecological value.
There are full-time traffic management personnel on site to prevent any impact from temporary traffic management. There have been no issues to date.
We’re proud to be investing in Chorley, providing hundreds of jobs and attracting investment in the local area from both national and local brands and businesses.
We are continuing to work closely with Lancashire County Council on this infrastructure project and we will be engaging with residents throughout the delivery of our development at Botany Bay Business Park to ensure it meets the needs of the community.
