Our year has started with a trio of lettings at Wales’ largest and expanding industrial site, Wrexham Industrial Estate.
The company was given the green light to create over 200,000 sq ft of additional industrial units on previously unused land on the estate in July 2019 and appointed Rebecca Morgan into a newly created role of Business Development Manager in October 2019 to assist businesses that are looking to relocate to the estate.
Amongst the new tenants is a new gym brand, Q Fitness (NW) Limited who have signed a 10-year lease for their 2,962 sq ft space. They opened for business in January and believe that the site has great potential, with over 350 businesses employing circa 11,000 workers on the estate.
The two other tenants who have signed new leases with us are Technical Colour Supplies Limited, specialists in raw plastic materials, and graphics printing company, The Graphics Factory Limited. The three units amount to more than 10,000 sq ft of industrial space in total.
Technical Colour Supplies have been tenants with us since 2013 and have extended their one-year agreement to a 10-year lease on the back of continued business growth.
The Graphics Factory has also signed a 10-year lease, spotting an opportunity to grow their business by locating in close proximity to another tenant of ours – and their close industry partner – The Cup Folk. The two firms already work very closely thanks to their complementary offerings.
Our UK industrial portfolio is extensive. The largest estate within the portfolio is Wrexham Industrial Estate. At eight million sq ft, it is one of the largest estates in the UK.
We are currently the largest landlord on the site, managing 500,000 sq ft of existing industrial space, with ambitious plans to develop 200,000 sq ft of new build in 2020 and further plans to expand and develop more quality industrial accommodation.
