Former Barnsley Council Offices to Become High-Spec Office Space

Oakwell House offers up to 9,000 sq ft of prime office accommodation, with a reception, WC & kitchen facilities, lift access, raised access floors, carpeting, air-con, and a secure, gated car park

We have appointed Knight Frank and Smiths Chartered Surveyors to bring a two-storey former council office block in Barnsley to the town’s growing commercial property market.

Oakwell House on Beevor Court, formerly tenanted by Barnsley Council and located next to Barnsley FC’s Oakwell Stadium, offers 9,079 sq ft of prime office accommodation and is currently earmarked for refurbishment.

The Sheffield office of Knight Frank, jointly with Smiths Chartered Surveyors in Barnsley, have been appointed to let the modern office block, which is being offered as a rare opportunity for businesses in the region to secure high specification accommodation, in increasingly short supply.

The newly decorated accommodation can be split to provide space from 4,116 sq ft to just over 9,079 sq ft having reception, WC, kitchen facilities, lift access serving both floors, raised access floors, carpeting,  suspended ceiling and air conditioning and a secure, gated car park.

Oakwell House is situated just off the Pontefract Road (A628) approximately 0.75 miles from Barnsley town centre, close to the town’s train station and connected to the A61, which provides access to Barnsley town centre in close proximity to junction 37 of the M1.

Other occupiers located close by include South Yorkshire Probation Trust, AS &T Limited recruitment and Burrows Kier of Barnsley.
