We are excited to announce that our plans to transform the 22-storey landmark office building Leon House into a high-quality luxury apartment building in the heart of Croydon’s regeneration area.
One of the UK’s best surviving examples of modernist architecture will provide 263 one- and two-bed apartments ready for occupation in summer 2018, set in the highly desirable regeneration area and close to South Croydon’s famous restaurant quarter.
Leon House is a ‘trailblazing’ project, says our Associate Development Director Mark Adams: “Leon House will act as the anchor for the Leon Quarter, a major regeneration project which will bring 500 new homes, a public square on the High Street and private landscaped gardens for residents’ use only.
“Currently residential demand in Croydon continues to rise in the face of lack of supply. The new Leon Quarter will have a major part to play for one of London’s fastest growing economies, as well as meeting the aspirations of its young creative, tech and professional community as the place to live.
“Already with our first release of new homes at Leon House, we have sold 39 apartments through our agents Countrywide Residential Developments.”
The residential development has been based around ‘London standard’ designs and to complement the building’s modernist architecture. It features floor to ceiling windows providing panoramic views over London from Canary Wharf, The Gherkin and Wembley Stadium to the North and Surrey and the North Downs to the South.
Future residents will have exclusive use of the 21st floor ‘Sky Lounge’ and roof garden and also enjoy ‘Club Leon’, an in-house members’ club offering exclusive privileges and access to all facilities. These include a residents’ lounge with co-working space and free wi-fi as well as a concierge service and dining room at ground floor level.
Our Senior Development Manager Patrick Sheridan is overseeing the £48M design and build contract which was awarded to Bouygues UK .
Our Development team is currently handling over one million sq ft of residential property development across the UK.
