100s of businesses across Chorley have joined together to pioneer the borough’s entrepreneurial success and drive innovation at an exclusive Chorley Council event hosted at our iconic Botany Bay.
The ‘Choose Chorley for Business’ event looked to celebrate, connect and inspire businesses across Chorley to help unlock the borough’s economic potential.
With panel discussions led by BBC’s Dave Guest, the event saw some of the North West’s leading entrepreneurs, sole-traders, SMEs and large global businesses come together for the first event of its kind for four years.
Sharing success and exploring innovation, the event included a presentation from Darren Neill from Sales Geek, who talked about the many forms of innovation and the importance of nurturing creativity to unlock potential.
The event saw us open the doors of our home at Botany Bay, where redevelopment plans are underway to transform 21 acres of land to create 405,386 sq ft of industrial and commercial space.
Representing our most ambitious development in our 40-year history, plans at Botany Bay will see the creation of a diverse business community with new offices, car parking and a £186,000 contribution towards a pedestrian and cycle network.
Tim Knowles, founder and Managing Director of FI Real Estate Management, commented: “As a Lancashire lad, I am extremely passionate about my home town and it means so much to me personally to be able to connect businesses of all backgrounds and specialisms here at Botany Bay. There is so much potential in Lancashire; its connectivity, its people and the hard work and passion of its businesses make it a powerhouse of economic activity and innovation. We are very excited and proud to be alongside Chorley Council in celebrating our businesses, and leading the conversation on how we take Chorley to the next level.”
Victoria Willett, Director of Change and Delivery at Chorley Council said: “Chorley has an incredible business community who have worked tirelessly to innovate and evolve in response to global challenges. We know its still an incredibly tough environment but we’re here to listen, help and assist so that businesses can thrive in Chorley. “
